Master P is a jack of all trades and he has his sights set on his next monumental business move. According to Forbes, Master P and 2x NBA All-Star Cheap Baron Davis Jersey  are leading an investment group to purchase Reebok from adidas. Forbes estimates that the deal for the sports apparel giant could be worth around $2.4 billion.

“These companies have been benefiting off us, this could be history for this company going Black-owned,” Master P — born Percy Miller — relayed to ESPN. “Imagine if Michael Jordan owned Reebok? That’s what I’m talking about making history.”

Percy “Master P” Miller confirms to ESPN that he’s in negotiations to acquire Reebok with ex-NBA guard Baron Davis.

“These companies have been benefiting off us, this could be history for this company going Black-owned,” Miller tells ESPN.

Reebok is no stranger to delving into the Hip Hop world. In 2003, the brand teamed with JAY-Z on the S. Carter sneaker line, which helped Reebok’s footwear sales rise by 17 percent in 2004.

Will Cheap Dante Cunningham Jersey step up to the plate this season and make a huge impact for the New Orleans Pelicans?
For Dante Cunningham and the New Orleans Pelicans this season, major changes will need to be made. This is a team that many experts have projected to be a playoff team by the end of the season.

The usual suspects of Cheap Anthony Davis Jersey and Cheap DeMarcus Cousins Jersey will grab all the media headlines and All-Star votes. Cheap Jrue Holiday Jersey and Rajon Rondo will nab some of the spotlight on the starting unit, and we can’t forget about Tony Allen and his defensive prowess for his new team.

The underrated story for this Pelicans season will be the bench and how well they perform this season. Underrated signings like Ian Clark this past summer were made to improve the second unit, but on Sept. 19, the Pelicans brought back a player they desperately needed after the injury to Solomon Hill last month.

According to The Vertical’s Shams Charania, the New Orleans Pelicans re-signed Dante Cunningham to a one-year, $2.3 million dollar deal. This was a move that was needed to be made for all the right basketball reasons. He was one of the only bright spots in last year’s tumultuous season, averaging 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in 66 appearances.

This upcoming season will be a completely different animal for Dante Cunningham, as he’ll no longer be playing on a likely lottery team. Expectations and buzz has surrounded the New Orleans Pelicans, so how can Dante stand out this year?

Shooting
Last season, Dante Cunningham shot 39.2 percent from the 3-point line, which was the best mark any Pelican player made that year. Teams like Minnesota, Milwaukee and Toronto were looking to sign the 30-year-old forward exclusively for his outside stroke. For the Pelicans, re-signing Cunningham will pay dividends this upcoming season.

Dante Cunningham can stretch the floor and play along side either Cousins or Davis in small-ball scenarios. Opposing defenses will double team either All-Star on the post and force them to settle for contested mid-range jump shots. If Cunningham can hit the 40 percent mark, defenders will be forced to guard him consistently.

Outside shooting from key players like Dante Cunningham and Ian Clark will help Davis and Cousins in the long haul. Both big men will need defenses to respect their teammates’ skill-sets while they do damage in the paint.

Flexibility
With the loss of Solomon Hill to injury during the summer, the small forward position will be up for grabs in training camp. Dante Cunningham has started 35 games for the Pelicans last season and could be an early favorite to nab that starting slot.

Cunningham is only one of the handful of players who’s been with the Pelicans for three straight seasons. His familiarity with the Gentry gameplay will be crucial in understanding his role as a rotation player. If Cunningham is slotted in the starting unit, his size will be critical in switching defensive schemes. He’ll guard both the small and power forwards seamlessly.

Last season, Dante Cunningham’s defensive rating was 106.1, which was the second-lowest of his career. Cunningham is capable of playing great defense if his team can handle its defensive assignments. Last time Cunningham had his best defensive rating of 98.8 was with the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2011-12 season.

The Pelicans have a great opportunity this season to play above-average defense with the pieces they acquired. Cunningham can handle his defensive assignments if the team is collectively making key stops during the game.

Improvements
Dante Cunningham will also need to dramatically improve on his free throw shooting this year. Last season he shot 59.3 percent from the charity stripe, which is horrendous for a player who can stretch the floor and knock down 3-pointers. If his free throw numbers remain the same this season, opposing teams will constantly foul him, which will be detrimental to the Pelicans’ game plan.

Can Dante Cunningham be the X-factor the Pelicans desperately need in this 82-game season? Or will the eight-year veteran wither away on the bench for the fourth straight season?

The No Limit boss and Davis plan on combining their expertise and decades of experience in the Hip Hop, sports, tech and business lanes to bring Reebok back to prominence. They will have their work cut out for them, as Reebok’s sales dropped 44 percent in 2020’s second quarter while accounting for just eight percent of adidas’ total sales in the first half of the year.

Davis, who last appeared in an NBA game in 2012 with the New York Knicks, previously signed a sneaker deal with Reebok in 2002 as a member of the Charlotte Hornets.

The New Orleans icon is already in the sneaker game with his MoneYatti brand. As a welcome to New Orleans, Master P offered Pelicans star Zion Williamson $20 million for an exclusive deal to wear his kicks off the floor.

The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to trade Alexis Ajinca, a 7’2 center, to the Los Angeles Clippers in return for Wesley Johnson, a 6’7 small forward who averaged 5.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 74 games last season.

New Orleans is acquiring Clippers forward Wesley Johnson in a trade for center Alexis Ajinca, league sources tell ESPN. Clippers will waive Ajinca and guard Juwan Evans to get to 15 for opening night.

However, before the deal can be finalized, this transaction must be completed with the league office in time for the Clippers to waive Ajinca before the 5 p.m. Eastern deadline — the real reason Los Angeles agreed to deal in the first place.

The Clippers sit close to the luxury tax line and possess more than 15 guaranteed contracts so they have interest in reducing salary and personnel from their roster.

The Clippers will save $849K by swapping out Wesley Johnson for Cheap Alexis Ajinca Jersey and are now $3.9M below the luxury tax. Both players are in the last year of their contract. Los Angeles will have $5.3M in Ajinca and $1.4M for Juwan Evans counting against… https://t.co/0cTQ4DN65l

Johnson has spent eight seasons in the league with four different organizations, beginning with the Minnesota Timberwolves who selected him 4th overall in the 2010 Draft. Although his career didn’t pan out as initially envisioned, he has appeared in meaningful minutes under Doc Rivers during the last three seasons.

The 31-year-old veteran is better known for his physical attributes than basketball skills as evidenced by well below average shooting percentages and a career line of 11.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks over his career per 36 minutes.

According to ESPN’s Real Plus Minus, Johnson rated as the 12th most effectively small forward defensively for the 20176-18 season, finishing ahead of names like P.J. Tucker, Trevor Ariza and OG Anunoby. In comparison, Solomon Hill ranked 34th and Cheap Darius Miller Jersey, 74th, at the same position.

One thing to remember going forward, Johnson may be utilized in another trade before the deadline by the Pelicans front office.

One thing to watch for with NOP acquiring Wesley Johnson today: his ~$6.1M salary can be aggregated with other salary in a trade immediately. This is because the Pels acquired Johnson by himself in today’s trade. No immediate plans for that, but something to watch down the line.

This could be important if Dell Demps still has eyes for Kent Bazemore, Otto Porter Jr. or some other more renowned and higher salaried wing player.

Chicago Bulls receive: Derrick Jones Jr., Rodney Hood, Anfernee Simons and 2023 first-round pick (lottery protected)

With CJ McCollum pushing his production into absurdity and Damian Lillard being Damian Lillard, Portland should be dreaming of a path to the NBA Finals. But the franchise can’t dream nearly that big without correcting its 23rd-ranked defense.

As the Blazers learned during the Cheap Al-Farouq Aminu Jersey and Maurice Harkless days, though, they can’t shift their forward spots too far to the defensive end or they’ll create a fatal offensive flaw playoff opponents can exploit.

Enter Otto Porter Jr.

If he’s healthy—and, save for a recent round of back spasms, he has been—he’s exactly the kind of pliable defender and offensive floor-spacer who could scratch Portland’s itch for a two-way wing. Pair him with Robert Covington and the Blazers might finally have the right blend of offensive competence and defensive versatility at the forward spots to realistically contend for the crown.

The Bulls, meanwhile, should know they’re on borrowed time with Porter. He’s unsigned beyond this season, and unless the front office feels differently, this sure feels like the right time to hand the frontcourt keys over to Lauri Markkanen and rookie Patrick Williams.

The Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans have leveraged superstar trades into a huge number of draft picks. But how far ahead of the pack are they?

The past two years have seen a succession of enormous, superstar trades in the NBA, with Cheap Anthony Davis Jersey, Paul George, Russell Westbrook (twice),Cheap Chris Paul Jersey and now James Harden all being moved. In most cases, those deals have been built around hefty collections of draft picks heading in the opposite direction.

In all, 16 present and future first-round picks changed hands in deals for those five players, not to mention a slew of pick swap options that were included. The result has been a concerted pooling of future draft capital in the hands of just a few teams.

Which team has the most future draft picks: the Rockets, Thunder or Pelicans?
The graph below covers the next seven drafts (2021-2026) which is as far out as future first-round picks have been traded. For each team, it shows how many future first-picks they currently hold. For comparison, you can also see the baseline, if all 30 teams still held all of their own picks in the upcoming drafts.

The Oklahoma City Thunder lead the pack in extra picks with 16 first-round picks, nine beyond their baseline. The Rockets hold 14, the Pelicans have 12 and the New York Knicks have 10. The only other teams with extra first-round picks in the next seven drafts are the Grizzlies (two extra) and the Hawks (one extra). There are other teams that hold the rights to incoming draft picks but they’re balanced out by picks they owe in other years.

A total of 18 teams either have the rights to seven or six first picks, essentially even or just down a single pick. The teams at a serious deficit of draft value are the Mavericks (two owed), Heat (two owed), Bucks (three owed), Clippers (three owed), Lakers (three owed) and the Nets (down five).

The other variable here is the control of pick swaps. The Thunder have control of three different possible first-round pick swaps, which further maximizes the value of all those extra picks. The Rockets and Pelicans each have control of two upcoming possible pick swaps.

Without the draft order locked in, there are far too many variables to meaningfully assign expected values to any of these picks, individually or in the aggregate. But the Thunder, Rockets and Pelicans each have roughly twice as much draft capital as the average team and control of the pick swaps will ultimately inflate the nebulous expected value even further.

14 games into the season, it is becoming increasingly clear that the Lakers have an almost hilariously large margin for error. Despite playing their worst first half in at least a week (and probably more), the purple and gold woke up and turned it on when it mattered, beating the New Orleans Pelicans 112-95 on Friday night to extend their current winning streak to five games, move their record to 11-3, and keep Anthony Davis undefeated (5-0) against his former team.

Midway through the second quarter, however, things didn’t look so rosy. The Lakers trailed by 15, looking completely listless against a Pelicans team that was playing like this was a playoff game. Then, LeBron James got tangled up with Cheap Steven Adams Jersey under the basket and the two exchanged words. The next time down the floor, they both received technical fouls as they continued to jaw. The Lakers responded with an 11-0 run, continuing to force their way inside for free throws to only trail by one at halftime despite their mostly poor play.

Finally awake, the Lakers didn’t cool down over the break. They outscored the Pelicans 27-17 in the third quarter, at one point going on a 15-0 run that saw them hold New Orleans scoreless for nearly 6 minutes of game time. In the fourth quarter, they went on a 19-4 run to extend their lead to a game-high 25 points and allow James and Davis to sub out for good with nearly four minutes left.

This was not Davis’ best game of the year (17 points on 5-16 shooting), but he still found a way to contribute with 3 blocks and 3 steals. James was his typically wonderful self, adding 21 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. The unsung hero of this one, though, was Alex Caruso, who was a game-high plus-minus of +28, making an impact with his defensive activity, energy and timely shooting. He finished with 9 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Montrezl Harrell (16 points on 8-10 shooting) was also hysterically dominant around the rim to give the Lakers easy buckets as they added to their lead. This team truly has an embarrassment of guys who can step up when necessary.

The Lakers played with their food a little bit, but it’s hard to blame them when they can turn on the afterburners and produce these kinds of swings against bad teams like the Pelicans basically whenever they want to. Now they’ll have two days off to rest before hosting the Warriors on Monday. Have a nice weekend everyone.
